Yesterday the Lockpick saga ended, or at least the season ended with a huge cliff-hanger, and we filed for bankruptcy. We have worked hard to find some way to solve our financial problems but as the last option recently failed we have no other alternative. It’s been a fantastic journey for us, a lot of hard work and stress mixed with the joy of creation together with the best community in the world. We can’t thank you enough for all the support and fun times over the last couple of years.

Lockpick fades but Dreamlords is forever
Well we can’t say for sure that it’s for ever but our intentions are to keep the game live.
We have come to an arrangement where we hope we still can have the game open and we manage the game on a voluntary basis. This has a few consequences however. First and foremost the game will now be completely FREE. There will be no way of going premium or buy tribute. For those of you that are/have you will still keep your balance and days etc but no further purchases can be made. To make sure there is still tribute in the game and players are able to buy things we will greatly increase the number of tribute you can claim each day from holding PvP territories. That was the plus, the downsides are that; Game updates and fixes will be much less frequent, there will be no support and you are much less likely to see us online.

Time schedule:
• Payment system offline: Now
• Era 6 end: Friday (tomorrow) at 10.00 am GMT+1
• Era 7 patch and updates: Friday afternoon
• Era 7 goes live: Monday, if all goes as planned, we hope to move the servers to another location on Monday after which we will go live.
EDIT: The servers will not be online from Monday 3pm until some time mid tuesday when we place era 7 Live

Warlax' Pub
General Idea: Yet another way for us developers to show appreciation for you players. Warlax is a Dreamlords veteran who during the scheduled downtime the days before the first Dreamlords release started a forum thread called Warlax' Pub. In tribute to that we now introduce it in the game.

Purpose: Allow players to have a place to chill in the client where supervised trivia contests can be held and a place for players to talk about anything and everything (within limits ofcourse)

Function: A new PvP island will appear and the island Chat channel will be used for the purpose of just chillin etc.

Summons
General Idea and Purpose: This may either be minor summons for fun or major summons to call forth powerful minions on the battlefield.

Function: They are DL tomes and are craftable only.

Personal Community Page
General Idea and Purpose: Give a specific page on the community website to all players where you (and everyone else) can see your current picture, status, medals etc. Click able from the Ladders.

CV Community Page
General Idea and Purpose: Give a specific page on the community website to all CVs where you (and everyone else) can see the CV's status, members etc. Click able from the Ladders.

New Dreamforging Formulas
General Idea and Purpose: We decided to make some more unique crafting and Dreamforging is the first craft profession that gets this upgrade.

Rings and Necklaces for your Dreamlord
General Idea and purpose: The chance for players to "bling" their Avatar with nice particle effects for footsteps or handglow etc. We may or may not also introduce Summons for your Dreamlord.

Content and Art updates

New World Boss Mission

A few Art upgrades and improvements

Package sales on various items in the Shop

Mystery bags can now be bought in the shop with a chance to get valuable items

New Masters of the City mission which is a bit simpler, easier and faster

A lot of us liked dreamlords, however I don't think it was due to people not spending enough ap and such, I am kinda on the line of believing that the company we were renting the client and server software from felt threatened and pulled the game, after feeling they could pull aeria users over to their server to make more money. That's my belief however, only admins can answer what truly happened in making it discontinued.

If you truly want it back, then hope aeriagame's parent company considers dreamlords worth the risk and buys out lockpick, therefore inheriting all of lockpick's games and control over them.

Yeah, it's too bad. I really liked it - a combo RPG Strategy game. Maybe Aeria can be convinced to bring it back?
